Reynaers Ltd new head office

It is a measure of Reynaers’ continued success in the UK that we have out-grown our existing office and warehouse facilities in Birmingham, and it is with growing excitement that we look forward to moving to our new premises a short distance away in Longbridge. Before we move, the building is being extended and completely refurbished, giving us more than double the space we have currently and giving us a modern, purpose-built facility that we can be proud of.

To help keep everyone up-to-date on progress, this page of the website will be regularly updated with new photos and news from site.

23rd June 2016

Work has started on site and the builders are not hanging around. The land to the side of the building where the extension will be built has already been cleared. The builders are also busy inside stripping out the existing office space and getting it ready for a complete redesign.

6th July 2016

Work is continuing very well on site with terrific progress being made inside and out. Outside, the ground to the side of the building is being prepared, and the land to the far end of the building is now being cleared. Inside, the existing office space has been completely gutted – the walls have gone and so have the stairs – leaving one large open plan space.

More great progress on site with a number of exciting developments since the last update. Outside, the foundations for the extension are nearly complete, and I am told the steel should be arriving in a few days. On the existing building, the stripping out of the inside is mostly finished leaving just a shell, and the cladding on the front façade of the building is now being removed. The preparation has also started on the footings for the new mezzanine level.

3rd August 2016

Work is progressing well on site. Most noticeable is that the cladding has now been removed from the west side of the building. You may also notice that the first of the steel has been delivered. The crane should be in on Monday to start putting the steel up – a process that is expected to take a couple of weeks.

Inside, the foundation plates are in for the mezzanine level, and further preparation has started on the existing concrete floor. In the coming weeks we can expect the existing blockwork and brickwork to be removed from the front (north) façade of the building, as it is prepared to receive the Reynaers windows, doors and curtain wall.

10th August 2016

There are more exciting developments on site this week as the steel is going up fast. Outside there is dramatic progress as we can begin to see the size of the new building, and inside most of the steel for the mezzanine is in place. You will also notice that more of the old brick and blockwork has been removed from the original façade, and the drains are now in place in the existing ground floor office space.

18th August 2016

The steel is going up fast and we can see some significant progress in the space of just a few days. The roof is starting to take shape now as the purlins are installed and the size of the extension is clear as most of the uprights are now in place.

Inside, the mezzanine now has joists, and the drains have been concreted in this morning. In the next few weeks we should continue to see rapid progress – first the steel will be finished, then the gutters go in and the roof goes on. Then comes the cladding and the concrete floor for the extension.

More good news from Hollymoor Way: The steel is nearly all in place now and you can start to see how the projection of the first floor will look. The construction team has started work on the roof – you can see the safety netting is in place and the insulated panels are being installed. Around the base of the building the timber shuttering is ready for the concrete that will form the base of the walls.

16th September 2016

A week is a long time in politics, as they say, and it seems a week is a long time on a building site too – lots has happened in the last seven days. The roof is now almost complete, the dwarf walls around the perimeter are complete, the floor is going in for the upper level and the ground floor is being prepared for the concrete. Inside, the mezzanine floor is being prepared and the blockwork walls are being built.

4th October 2016

More good progress from Hollymoor Way. The concrete floor for both levels of office space has been poured and is set, so the old and new office spaces are now seamlessly joined, giving a clear idea of the space we will have. The mezzanine floor is also complete, the internal blockwork is almost finished, and the lift shaft is in place. Externally, the roof is on and the cladding is starting to go on the walls – the full height vertical strips look great!

The site at 111 Hollymoor Way is a hive of activity. Since the last update, a lot has changed. More of the cladding has been installed down the side of the building and work has started on the glass façade to the front. Inside the office area, the partition walls are going up so you really begin to see the size of each part of the office. In the warehouse area, the floor is prepared ready for the concrete.

9th November 2016

The building at Hollymoor Way is coming along nicely, with some significant changes since the last update. The curtain wall is progressing well, glass is likely to start arriving on site this week, and the last pieces of cladding are being installed. Inside, most of the partition walls are in place, giving a clear idea of the space for the new office areas and meeting rooms. The suspended ceiling is in place in the reception area and the ducting is in place for the ventilation. The site is a busy place, with a number of different trades all working side by side.

The site at Hollymoor Way is a hive of activity with multiple trades hard at work. The raised floor is in place, the kitchens and toilets are being fitted, and the internal offices and meeting rooms are taking shape. Most of the external work is compete, and the building looks fantastic.

4th January 2017

The exterior of the new building is virtually finished, as the Hi-Finity door is in place on the corner of the building, completing the glass façade.

Inside it is looking great. The glass walls and doors are on the meeting rooms and offices, the bathrooms and kitchens are close to completion, and we are really down to just a few last finishing touches.

Completion of Reynaers new HQ

We moved the warehouse at the beginning of January followed by the office move shortly after. The move took place with very little impact on day-to-day business with no down time so we're delighted with how it went. We are already benefitting from additional space and looking forward to seeing the new showroom -  coming soon!
