Sustainable buildings

Let us contribute to more sustainable buildings

Under the Paris Agreement, each country is required to define and communicate its climate actions, known as nationally determined contributions (NDCs).

Of all the countries that have submitted NDCs, one third do not cover buildings, and only a quarter of the participating countries mention the energy efficiency of buildings. We believe it is time to do better.

The facts

In 2019, the world's buildings consumed 35% of our global energy consumption and 55% of our global electricity consumption.

Our impact

Our contribution to more sustainable buildings starts with the development and certification of innovative products. Second, we provide our business partners with the information they need to make sustainable choices. Finally, we guide our partners towards a holistic approach to sustainability.

Our actions

Act 1: Expand thermal performance certification

We are constantly expanding our range of Passive House and Minergie certified systems. These certifications help you to select the right components when building your comfortable and energy-efficient home.

Act 2: Integrating sustainability data in our digital tools

Our partners should always have easy access to all the information they need to design sustainable buildings. That is why we are expanding our Building Information Modelling (BIM) files and product passports with even more sustainability and certificate information. All relevant product details, right when you need them most!

Act 3: Guiding our partners towards holistic sustainability

Knowledge is power. That is why we train our partners on how we approach sustainable architecture in a holistic way. Our products not only provide excellent thermal insulation, but they also capture solar gains and make the best use of natural light and ventilation.

For our new sustainable project Jardins du Lou, we found our ideal partner and solution with Reynaers Aluminium bespoke curtain wall systems.
