The different types of curtain walling available; the design options available; the standards that apply; the products’ performance criteria, as well as featuring installation examples.

This CPD covers aluminium systems solutions that meet accessibility requirements. Changes to Approved Document M are also covered as well as the background and history to accessibility.

Sustainability and its implications on specifying aluminium systems
This CPD covers the evolution of aluminium and its performance in the context of window design and thermal performance. You will also learn more about the qualities of aluminium as a material, its recyclability and an overview of key standards and legislation, such as Document L.

Specifying fire resistant aluminium & steel solutions
This CPD covers applicable standards and performance required for fire resistant systems as well as an overview of Passive Fire Protection. The testing procedure and results are also covered, as well as how aluminium and steel systems can meet the necessary requirements.
