CURTAIN WALLING FROM REYNAERS
CURTAIN WALLING FROM REYNAERS
With one of the most comprehensive product ranges on the market, Reynaers really does have a solution for almost any building, whatever shape or size.
Our cutting-edge aluminium Concept Wall 50 system for facades and roofs not only offers specifiers unlimited design freedom, it also allows maximum transparency and superb thermal efficiency. The CW 50 is available in several design and glazing variants, and includes different technical variants to give maximum flexibility in curtain wall design, so architects are no longer bound to a traditional grid pattern.
Extensions to the CW 50 system from Reynaers offer new innovative solutions for much heavier glass weights, as well as easy assembly and quick installation, plus improved energy efficiency and sophisticated connections of profiles.
The Concept Wall system features an extensive range of profiles so that a wealth of design constructions can be created. Offering extensive design freedom, this curtain wall can be custom-designed – as seen in the staggered system used for Knowledge Centre Arhus (see below).
Outstanding thermal efficiency
A new variant of CW 50 benefits from improved insulation profiles, which can achieve an impressive insulation value (Uf) down to 0.56 W/m2K with a glass thickness of 60 mm. The new additions to this proven curtain wall system also result in much larger panes of glass being able to be installed. It is perfectly suited for much larger panes and for triple glazing, which provides eco-efficient buildings with more light than ever before.
Huge weight tolerances
Maximum glass thickness can now measure up to 61 mm and the new CW 50 system can carry a maximum weight of 700kg, thanks to a special glass support. With this addition, specific bespoke solutions are no longer required for such massive glass panels.

KNOWLEDGE CENTRE ARhus
Several bespoke solutions were developed by Reynaers in collaboration with De Witte Aluminiumconstructies such as a T-shaped face cap for the clamping of the enamelled white glass panel. Horizontally, this protruding element is shut off by a rectangular face cap that runs through to accentuate the lines of the façade.
BARCO ONE CAMPUS
In total, 7.900 square meters of glass and aluminium façade systems were installed, in close collaboration between not only the architects and Reynaers Aluminium, but also Cordeel as the contractor and aluminium construction experts Belgo Metal BV. Adding complexity to the design, nearly 3.500 square meters of the total façade area was installed with what is known as a reversed curtain wall façade.
The BREEAM-rated building combines modulated stone cladding with expansive areas of Reynaers aluminium curtain walling and is occupied by blue-chip brands such as Royal Bank of Canada, Deloitte and C5 Alliance. Transforming the Jersey seafront with a touch of splendour, the Reynaers systems utilised include CW 86 and CW 50 curtain walling, as well as CS 68 and CS 77 aluminium windows and doors.
